Detectives have been investigating these crimes and identified possible suspects who had been using the stolen credit cards from these larcenies.  The larcenies also occurred in subdivisions in Thomas Township and most recently this past Friday and Saturday nights in Frankenmuth.

On Sunday, December 7, 2014 at approximately 2:00 am Saginaw Township detectives and officers from Frankenmuth and Tittabawassee Township Police Departments did surveillance on the suspects.  Detectives stopped the four suspects on Dixie Highway near I-75 as they were returning from committing larcenies in Frankenmuth.  As officers approached the vehicle, one of the suspects threw a handgun from the vehicle.  All four suspects were arrested.  Stolen property from the larcenies in Frankenmuth was recovered from the vehicle.

Detectives from the above departments conducted a search warrant at one of the suspect’s homes and recovered a stolen handgun and other stolen items (laptop computers, Ipads, GPS units, televisions, purses, wallets, etc) which link the suspects to larcenies and burglaries in Saginaw and Thomas Townships.  Searches of other homes also resulted in stolen items being seized. The suspects were also involved in stealing mail from mailboxes primarily looking for Christmas cards with gift cards and also credit cards.

The four suspects were arrested and are being held in Saginaw County Jail and Saginaw County Juvenile Center.  Detectives will present the case to the Saginaw County Prosecutor’s Office for warrants.
